Ted Talk Response
1) What question
does Erik pose to the audience?
Is it still photography if you can’t take the picture using only
a camera.
2) What was Erik’s
first real passion?
Drawing
3) What conception
of photography did Erik previously hold?
That the creative process ended when you took a picture, and
you had to be in the right place at the right time.
4) How did this
inspire him?
He wanted to make something where the process starts when you
take a picture, and it doesn’t end until long after.
5) What “common
goal” do Erik’s photos have?
To capture an idea, something that you need to really look
at, and to make the illusion believable.

as used in this context.
If you saw it in real life you could believe it, yet it is outlandish,
and you know it isn’t real.
7) What principles
does he adhere to when creating an image?
Same perspective, and same lighting, make it seamless as
well.
Color, contrast and brightness, add defects.
8) Why is it
easier to create a place rather than to find a place?
You don’t need to compromise with the environment.
9) How does he
plan the photos?
Sketch, then shoot, then combine.
10) What is his
conclusion?
Our only imagination limits us.
